How do I know if the trunnion bar is the problem?

Can a trunnion bar be repaired, or does it need to be replaced?
Damage caught early can often be repaired. Once it's worn or damaged past that, it gets replaced with new bushings and hardware, torqued and checked before the truck leaves.
What happens if a worn trunnion bar gets ignored?
It stops being a bar problem and starts being a frame problem — the trunnion bar is what holds the whole camelback together, so regular maintenance is what keeps it from getting there.
Is a trunnion bar the same as a trunnion stand?
No — the bar is the pivot shaft the camelback rotates on; the stand is the bracket that holds it. They wear together often enough that we check both.
Do I need an appointment?
Walk-ins are welcome. The shop is at 1050 West Penn Pike, Tamaqua, open Monday to Friday, 7:00 to 4:30.
