What we do

Air spring service for light, medium and heavy-duty trucks — garbage packers, fire apparatus and mixers run on air every day, and a leaking bag drags the whole suspension down. Bags, valves and lines are stocked from Dayton Parts, so replacement happens the same visit, not next week.

Signs it's time
01 Bag won't hold pressure
02 Harsh ride or uneven ride height
03 Compressor running constantly

Common questions

Air Springs questions, answered

How do I know it's the air spring and not something else?

The usual tells are a bag that won't hold pressure, a compressor that runs constantly trying to keep up, a harsh or uneven ride, or the truck leaning at the dock when it's parked. Any of those, get it on the rack and we'll find the leak.

Can a leaking air bag be repaired, or does it need to be replaced?

Once the rubber fails or the bag is punctured, it gets replaced — there's no patching an air spring. The valve or line feeding it is a different story and sometimes that's the actual leak, which is why we leak-test the whole system, not just swap the bag and hope.

Do you stock air spring parts, or do I have to wait on an order?

Bags, valves and lines come from Dayton Parts and stay on the shelf here, so most jobs happen the same visit instead of the truck sitting while a part ships.

What kind of trucks do you service air springs on?

Garbage packers, fire apparatus, mixers and anything else running air suspension every day — the trucks that can least afford to sit.

Do I need an appointment?

Walk-ins are welcome. Pull in off the Penn Pike at 1050 West Penn Pike, Tamaqua — the shop is open Monday to Friday, 7:00 to 4:30.

What does an air spring job cost?

It depends on whether it's a bag, a valve or a line, so we don't guess over the phone. Get the symptom and the truck to us through the quote form or call (570) 386-4195 and we'll tell you what it actually needs.
